Army Rescues 43 Persons, Recover 500 Cows From Boko Haram In Borno

The Nigerian Army troops on Sunday morning said it rescued 43 kidnapped persons and recovered 500 cows from fleeing Boko Haram terrorists in Mafa, Borno State.
This is contained in a statement by the Army spokesman, Colonel Sani Usman, he said that eight suspected Boko Haram insurgents abducted some cattle rearers and livestock at gunpoint at Dalakalari general area in the state.
He added that the troops swung into action and chased the militants after getting information from some civilians, adding that the militants on sensing danger, ran and abandoned the livestock just before Panamri village.
The victims and the recovered cows have been handed over to the local authorities.
